Global Press Celebrates 12 Years of Exceptional Global Journalism

March 6 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Women from different tribes in Ituri, Democratic Republic of Congo, work together to maintain their cocoa trees as a part of the women cocoa farmer group ÒTUENDELEE MBELE,Ó meaning ÒLetÕs move forward,Ó in Swahili. The group formed from an effort to restore peaceful coexistence between the local groups through development.

Join Global Press as we celebrate 12 years of training and employing women to produce authentic journalism from the world’s least-covered places!

In 2006, we launched our first news bureau in Chiapas, Mexico with five women. In the years since, we have trained and employed 191 female journalists who work in our 42 independent news bureaus around the world.

Join us for a festive cocktail reception that will showcase our stunning photojournalism. Learn more about our commitment to accuracy with a multimedia reporting presentation from our Indian-administered Kashmir bureau.

Join us as we toast to the power of high-quality information and human stories to change our world! (Beer, wine and light appetizers will be served.)
